I came across this photograph at the online media gallery of a Pakistani newspaper. Its from a village about a 100 km west of Abbottabad, a place that will probably remain famous for quite a long time. April/May is the time of wheat harvest in this part of the world. Not every one has access to the sophisticated machinery used in the developed countries so often people are seen harvesting the crop using a sickle or 'Daranti' as is known in some South Asian languages.
Something about this photograph struck me to keep it for reference and share it. Maybe its the expression of extreme care with which the pictured innocent looking young girl is collecting the seeds or something else but it seemed a photograph that was definitely worth sharing.
